INTERFAITH / SAME FAITH / SAME GENDER / VOW RENEWALS / PRE-NUPTIAL COUNSELOR / NON-RELIGOUS MEMORIAL SERVICES

Our bond:
A prenuptial meeting is recommended so we may meet in person and get to know one another & create our special bond. Together we make any decisions necessary in creating the perfect wedding ceremony... There is a reasonable fee for this meeting of $50, which is non-refundable.

This meeting usually takes place at the beautiful, newly renovated Mansfield Holiday Inn, 31 Hampshire Street, Mansfield, MA 02048

Ceremony fee:
The fees to perform the wedding ceremony are set by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. If you are married in Mansfield, Massachusetts, the fee is $100. If you are married in any other town in Massachusetts, the fee is $150.

Save the Date:
To reserve your specific day and time, a non-refundable fee of $50 is required to save the date on my calendar for you. I will send you a confirmation in the mail once the fee is received.

The rehearsal:
The rehearsal can be very helpful if you have a wedding party; this way everyone will be on the same page… If you would like me to conduct the rehearsal, the fee is $150. To reserve a specific day and time, a 50% deposit is required to save the date on my calendar for you.

My robe:
You have the option of having me wear a judicial robe during your ceremony. If you would like me to wear a robe, you may chose either black or white. This is totally up to you!

Your gift:
In addition to the wonderful wedding ceremony, I present a gift of a beautiful Wedding Certificate which is matted and framed especially for you. This is perfect to display at your wedding and then to keep in your home for a cherished memory…

Extra fees:
Ceremony preparation fees when applicable, a decorated keepsake binder of your ceremony, personalized ceremonies, poetry, etc.

The Marriage License

Please be aware that I cannot perform your wedding ceremony without a valid Massachusetts license! I must have this in my hands at the time of the rehearsal or upon my arrival on your wedding day.

The State of Massachusetts requires that you have a current marriage license issued in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is not necessary to apply for it in the town where the wedding is being held or the town in which you live. You may apply for your marriage license in any city or town in Massachusetts.

Both of you, as a couple must be present when applying for your marriage license. There is a three day waiting period starting the day you apply for your license. You can pick up your license at the town hall on the 4th day. The license is valid for 60 days from the date you filed.

It is very important that you completely review the license while at the town hall to ensure that all of the information is accurate and correct. This includes your personal information as well as the expiration date (located on the upper left hand side of the document).

It is a good idea to contact the Town Clerk in advance to find out the fees and requirements, as they may be different from town to town. (The fees may range from $15.00 to $50.00 for your application.)

After your wedding, I complete and sign the marriage license and return it back to the town clerk at the town hall where you obtained your license.  You must contact that town clerk about one week after your wedding to obtain an official certificate. Please note that there may be a small fee involved.

*Blood tests are optional as it is not a requirement in the State of Massachusetts.

*Witnesses are not required.

*You are not required to exchange rings; however, rings are a traditional symbol of love and marriage.

Vow renewals – although it is not necessary to apply for another license, a copy of your original one is requested by me; but not a requirement...
